I have so many that I decided I will put 3 on each one. Maybe my floor isn't level and after trying different things, I found super thin, strong magnets on Amazon. The magnets for the shallow door don't work at all. I have changed it to a hasp lock and bolted it with washers through the top so it can't pull out. I found the lock for the top to be useless. I do close it up so I can use the wall behind it to put my quilts on. I will not be tricking this out because I want to see where stuff is. It is so nice to see where everything is.
I have a lot of cross stitch floss and aida cloth. I bought the sewing table as well so most of my thread and rulers are in that. I have tried really hard to not hoard fabrics so I only have 10 projects in there right now. I had 15 small moving boxes and managed to get everything in there. This is made out of MDF and laminate so you can't afford too many mistakes. I put wood glue in every hole if I already had put screw in previously. I made a couple of mistakes and had to take things off. When I put the sides on I had one moment where things almost got away from me, but I caught it in time. If I had not had carpet in my bedroom there is no way I could have lifted them up without them rolling away. I am 69 years old and managed to build this by myself. I look forward to using it for years to come! Overall, I give it a 4.8/5 But I found a solution: I took a Velcro command strip and put it on both sides of the swing doors and that has held them shut perfectly.Ĭustomer service has been wonderful and it truly is a great product if you are looking for something to hold all your supplies in one place. I have a toddler and he kept getting into things. The swing doors don't stay shut with the magnets as well as I needed them to. However, with the price that I paid I should not have had scratched totes to begin with but it is what it is.ģ. I just decided to work with what I got instead of getting new ones again because it was a hassle. However, most of those totes were scratched as well. Customer service sent me new totes which was good. I appreciate that they went above and beyond with that.Ģ. However, I contacted customer service and the gal I talked to said that since I was local to Utah they were able to make arrangements so I was able to pick up my hardware locally instead of needing to wait another week to build it. We got the DIY version, and the hardware was missing from the shipment. I have a dedicated space for my art and I can leave it there and come back to it when I need to!Ī couple of things I didn't like with purchasing the DreamBox:ġ.
